Well I can't believe that we have come this far. It seems like just the other day that I was sitting on side of the bed staring in disbelief that I was pregnant!
I feel amazing, which is more than I can say for the early part of my pregnancy. Thank goodness the morning sickness has gone but I do believe that it can come back in the last few weeks of term. Anyway I am glad not to be seeing too much of the inside of the loo!
Baby is so active, both day and night. Sometimes I wonder what the little thing is doing in there. Seems to me that I may be going to give birth to a bird, as it seems like it is trying to fly in there.
Tomorrow I have my monthly scan. I look forward to this each month as it means that I get to "see" Mini M. It is amazing to see how much baby has grown from month to month. I can definately tell from the outside that we are ever expanding thats for sure! I have my last monthly appointment with the Midwife on Wednesday, as we go to fortnightly appointments for a few times then down to weekly just before we give birth.
I have had my husband taking tummy photos of me so that I can share them with my family who are spread far and wide over the world. Thank goodness for the internet, as at least this way they too can join in the experience of my pregnancy!
Sleeping at night is becoming a premium. Unfortunately the little one seems to believe that if I am asleeep then it should be awake. And so the kicking begins! Turning over in bed seems to be more like a three point turn now. Then there is the nightly visit to the loo at about 2am that I look forward to - NOT!
Am not really complaining as I really am excited about being pregnant and growing this little human inside my tummy. It is a big responsibility but one that I am keen to take on. My husband and I are scared, terrified, excited and happy all at the same time.
Well I look forward to "seeing" the little one tomorrow. Will keep you posted on our progress!

Off to Day Care...
Well it was an exciting day in the household of one of best friends. Her six month son was off to his first day at day care.
Off he went with his backpack packed with goodies and clean clothes for the day ahead. Pity that it was raining but I am sure that this would not dampen his spirits for the days adventure!
Mum was brave and no tears were shed by either her or her son. In fact Mum had a great day visiting the hairdressers, as she is back to work herself in a weeks time. She had a fabulous lunch with a couple of amazing people (myself included haha), then home for chores to be done before remembering to pick up the little one at the end of the day!
All reports were that the little one had a great day. Started off a bit teary but ended up on a high and I think is prepared to go back tomorrow!
We have named this week Sarah's week, as she is due back to work on the coming Monday. We have plans for most days this week. They include: lunch, movies, DVD day, shopping and more lunch dates! Got to make the most of it before the end of the week!
Well I am proud of both her and her beautiful son. No one looks forward to going back to work after giving birth over six months ago. I think she is very brave and strong. Don't know how I would feel if I had to go back to work after our little one is born.
Enjoy your week little one and look forward to making new friends at day care.

You just be your own boss...
Well you know there are some really wise people out there in our world and sometimes we only have to look in the mirror to find them! Sometimes it takes time to sift through the crap to really see what it is that we want to do...
Have decided that when it comes to having a family, that it will happen in it's own sweet time. You cant rush Mother Nature!
As far as ambulance work is concerned...I have started doing some shifts at another station that is busier and I love it. It is great to finally being able to put the things that I am learning into practice. You can have all the knowledge in the world but unless you get to use it, it is useless.
We are now looking forward to honeymoon holiday in a couple of weeks. Cant believe that it is hear so soon, as it seemed just the other day that we were planning on where we were going to go.
Mum and Dad M will be back in 2 Sundays. They are having fun, as we have heard from them via email. Will be great to go through Dads million of photos when they get back. Thank goodness we are leaving for our trip only 2 days later! haha! Love you Dad!
We are off for dinner in a moment. Better go and get ready so I dont hold up Farmer Brown!

Decisions, decisions...
Man it can be so hard to know what is the right decision for you. Confusion and indecision is hard to deal with sometimes.
I really want to do my Ambulance but on the other had I would like to have a family with my husband. Now seems the right time to do that as we are both getting older and I don't like the idea of being a mother in my 40's.
Ambulance has been challenging to say the least of late. Hard to know what to do there. When I am busy on duty it is fantastic but when there is a lot of down time it can be really hard to stay motivated.
After coming back from the course today it is easy to become inspired all over again, and then chatting with my peers afterwards, hearing that some of them are experiencing the same things as me, makes me feel not so alone.
I think that one thing at a time is the way to go. At the moment I am doing my studies and if I happen to get pregnant in the future, well that will become the new path for my little family!
Having a break from my own station has been great, as it has allowed my time to step back and re-evaluate my situation. It is hard to do things on your own, so I guess what I am saying is that I need to make the effort to reach out to do what it is that I want to do. I don't have to do this on my own, there are people out there that can help me and want to help me.
I guess the most important thing to do is to stay true to myself...

Our Weekend Away...
You know sometimes the best holiday is when you do nothing at all. Spending time in the company of those who you hold dear is a blessing! Time out from the normal hustle and bustle is sometimes just what we need!
Start your long weekend by picking up your favourite Aunty then make a bee line to the beach! We always have so much fun when we are over there. Of course there is the stop at the local supermarket so that much needed supplies are purchased! Alcohol has already been purchased and is safely stored in the boot of the car. Hello people...priorities!
Oh did I mention that I decided that I was going to get my third tattoo? I must have forgotten to mention it to my fellow travellers by the look on their faces when we pulled up outside my new favourite tattoo place! Arrangements were made and then we were off to our final destination...The Beach Bach.
Following our usual style we had finishe dour first bottle of bubbles within an hour of our arrival! This of course was consumed in between unpacking the car, switching on the power/water and stocking up the fridge!
Along with great company and wine you also need a great supply of books for a weekend away at the beach. I of course had 3 books to be my sinful pleasure! By the end of the weekend I will have finished 2 books!
Anyway we each took our full glasses of bubbles, books, mags and snacks and established ourselves in our lounge chairs to settle in for the night!

And the learning begins finally...
Well I finally have new dates for my National Diploma Course. Will be doing a Medical block course in July and then returning to my old class mate for the Trauma Modules. We will be finishing about late October now. Seems like a long way away, however I know how things go and it wont be long until we thinking man I wish we had more time left! Am off to the Balloons Over Waikato tonight. Volunteering with others from the station where I crew. Should be a great night out. Hopefully the wind will stay calm so that the balloons dont get buffed around too much. Had a tonne of fun at Beach Hop this year. Went on duty on Saturday night for 5 hours then hung out at the Police Station waiting for Mrs H's dad to take us home. It was such an eye opener watching all the drunk teenyboppers come and go. Man I would love to have taken video to show them when they sobered up, but to be honest I dont think many of them really care about what they do! I did feel stink for the parents who had to come down and collect their little ones! Lessons learned...lets hope so!
