Helping People Is The Best Feeling Ever...Try It!

Wow life takes on so many different faces that sometimes it is hard to remember who we are!

Since starting my Ambulance career my life has changed in so many ways. Today I got to take one of our ambulances and escort a group of 20 teenagers from Te Kuiti who are with the SADD group from their high school, as they ran 20kms from Te Kuiti to Otorohanga raising money for Christchurch. To such dedication in people so young was very inspirational for me.

It is great to be seen in our community. Our community should not be strangers to us and we should be strangers to them.

This weekend I am going to crew at my first event for St John. Thank goodness I have been able to talk one of my favourite friend and fellow crew member to come with me. I will admit that I am a little apprehensive however this is what I want to do so I will do it with pride and great honour to those I am out there to help!

I am learning so much since starting my National Diploma and am being able to put it into practice each time we are called to help a patient. This is one job in which I will never stop learning or have something new to learn about!

Take care out there my fellow community members both far and wide.
